Breast Cancer

We realize that many of you have donated to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, but we'd like to you be a bit more charitable and donate to the fight against breast cancer.

Over 200,000 women AND MEN will be afflicted with breast cancer this year and over 40,000 people will die from this disease. There is no cure, but strides are being made. Even if you can only donate a $1, your donation will help. Please consider giving to one of these charities:

Equally important is staying on top of your on health. Visit your doctor regularly. In addition, follow these guidelines from the Susan G. Komen Foundation:
  • Monthly self-examinations starting at age 20
  • Clinical breast exams every three years between ages of 20-39. Clinical exams every year starting at age 40.
  • Mammograms every year starting at age 40

Most importantly, if you find any new lump anywhere on your body - see a doctor immediately. It is always better to err on the side of caution. There earlier cancer is detected, the better one's chance of survival is.

Keep in mind that a healthy lifestyle lowers your chances of coming down with cancer. Exercise regular and eat your vegetables!

Thanks.

And you're right, car donation is a great way of giving to a charitable cause.
