Stick with That Resolution to Get in Shape!

It is widely believed that new habits take six weeks to form. If you started a new fitness regime or diet plan this year and are continuing to stay with it, congratulations. You've made it past the six-week mark and we are very happy for you.

If, however, you have strayed from your resolution(s), then consider this your wake-up call. Get up, get to gym and start eating healthier. The best time to start making changes is now.

Don’t beat yourself up over not adhering to goals, though; the overwhelming majority of people don’t stick to their New Year's resolutions.

In fact, the gym industry depends on people not keeping their resolutions. Every time somebody walks to into a health club, there are costs related to wear and tear and staffing levels. Conversely, people who allow their credit cards to be billed every month, but never show up, are pure profit centers. So, stick it to the man and get to the gym!

By the way, if you want some tips on how to get started (or re-started), check out our Jan 2 post about fitness resolutions you can keep.
