Olive Oil - Buyer Beware

The olive oil sitting your pantry may not be what you think it is. It could be low quality olive oil or worse yet, not even be olive oil at all.

DrWeil.com suggests looking for imported oils certified by the International Olive Oil Council (IOOC) or by olive oil certifying bodies in Italy (DOP), Spain (DO) or Greece (HEPO). California olive oils should be certified by the California Olive Oil Council (COOC).
