Wendy's Cuts Trans Fats

Kudos to Wendy's for cutting trans fats.

Yesterday, the company announced that it is switching to the non-hydrogenated cooking oil. The new oil will be used for cooking French Fries and breaded chicken items. Chicken items will have 0 grams of trans fats, while most fry servings will have 0.5 grams.

This is a very positive step for the fast food industry. Nonetheless, you will still be better off by ordering a salad with low/non-fat dressing or a grilled chicken sandwich with no cheese and no mayonnaise. A Junior hamburger with no cheese is also a reasonable calorie option.
