What Is PiYo?
Some studios are beginning to offer a classes for PiYo. PiYo is a combination of Pilates and yoga. The classes focus on building the core (Pilates) and increasing flexibility (yoga).
The labeling might be new, but the concept isn't. Many yoga instructors have include some Pilates moves, such a version of the 100, to mix up their classes and many Pilates teachers have incorporated some yoga concepts, including meditation and stretching.
Both Pilates and yoga are great exercises and we see no reason not to like PiYo. When its all said and done, whether you take Pilates, yoga or PiYo depends on personal preference and any medical conditions that you may have.
