It's Almost Holiday Season So, Walk More

Adding to the large volume of evidence that walking is good for you, a new study by Murdoch Children's Research Institute along with the International Diabetes Institute found that by walking just an additional 2,000 steps a day could shrink the waistline on sedentary people. You can read more about the study in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Given that the holiday season is about to start (less than 50 shopping days until Christmas), the time to start boosting up your cardio is now. November and especially December brings numerous parties with deserts, punch and egg nog. You can do your best to watch your diet, but no one's perfect. So start burning calories now to make up for the extra that you eat over the next several weeks.
