Could The Microwave Be Making You Fat?

Our friends at FitSugar found an interesting article on the BBC's web site that pointed out the correlation between bigger waistlines and the introduction of the microwave. The reason? Higher calorie meals combined with less activity.

This is why FitSugar is suggesting a new trend: Microwave Free Fridays. Instead of using the microwave on Friday, you actually cook a meal. The upside? Cooking burns more calories than microwaving does and you might actually eat something healthier. We at NetSweat think this is a great idea.
