Colgate issued a press release this morning warning about counterfeit toothpaste being sold under the Colgate name. The toothpaste is being sold at several dollar-type discount stores in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland. According to the company, there are indications that this product does not contain fluoride and may contain Diethylene Glycol.

The counterfeit toothpaste is labeled "Manufactured in South Africa" and may contain one or more misspellings.
