A Correlation Found Between Working Moms and Overweight Kids

This is going to spark some controversy, so please keep in mind that we are just the messenger.

A study published this week in the International Journal of Obesity concluded that “children were more likely to be overweight for every 10 (hours) a mother worked per week”. The relationship was “only significant” for households with equivalent incomes of $57,5750 or higher (about the median household income in the U.S.).

NetSweat.com Comments: We would like to see more follow-up on this study, as we are curious whether there are other factors at plays such as daycare, food choices (e.g. more fast food and processed foods), or some other culprit.
